Trend Forecasting: Inside the Louis Vuitton SS26 Show
Breaking down the key trends to watch and where to find them affordably
The 2016 trends we were all obsessed with are slowly creeping back and this is the perfect time to raid your local thrift stores before everything ends up on Depop for five times the price.
I did the homework so you don’t have to. Here is what stood out the most:
1. The Return of the Collar
Remember the studded collar era? She is back in a more grown up and subtle way. SS26 focuses on oversized sculptural collars with exaggerated shapes crisp points and soft drama.
If you are thinking of buying new, check out Mode Mischief Studios or My Mum Made It. Vintage shops are still the best places to find interesting shapes.
2. Fringe Fringe Fringe
We already saw fringe appear in FW25 but SS26 turns it into a full revival. Think fringed coats bags dresses and everything in between. The mood is very Kate Moss boho with a bit of Paris cool.
Before you buy something new, check Vinted or Depop. The best fringe is always secondhand. One example that always comes to mind is the Isabel Marant x H&M fringed boots from 2013. Hard to find but the energy is perfect.
If you want a subtle version of this trend, try skinny scarves with beaded fringe. They give that soft rock chic vibe without going too far.

3. Flowy Romantic Shirts
This trend has been around for a while but it is gaining new momentum. Think chiffon cotton lace and anything that moves nicely. Wide sleeves ruffles and romantic details.
If you want to try this trend, depop is still your best friend. For new pieces look at Paris Georgia, FARM Rio or With Jéan.
